I hope this email finds you well!

I just wanted to share with you about how my new position as Manager of Grants and Development at Notes for Notes is going. Aside from grant writing, I put on my first ever fundraiser back in June, 2019, and raised over $14,000. It was an intimate cocktail party that I threw together with only a month to plan it so I was quite happy with the results. The CEO, COO and Board Chair all traveled to Santa Barbara, CA to attend and provide support which was a great encouragement for me.

Next, I was tasked with coordinating a larger fundraiser for a benefit concert featuring the Steve Miller Band at the Lobero Theatre (also in Santa Barbara). With 600 attendees it was a big undertaking. We had 50 silent auction items as well. And, I’m happy to report that we raised over $100,000!

I’m excited to start cultivating these individual donors relationships that were made as a result of these fundraisers and have been referring to my notes from your class often.
